JustSystems Highlights Advantages of Structured Authoring and DITA at IBM Information On Demand 2009

Attendees to Discover How XMetaL Author Enterprise — IBM FileNet Edition Enables Enterprises to Fulfill Customer Demand for Content

IBM Information on Demand — LAS VEGAS and NEW YORK — October 21, 2009 — With growing expectations from customers, enterprise organizations are increasingly expected to deliver product, service and support information in multiple languages and formats in a timely manner. To address these challenges, many companies are turning to the Darwin Information Typing Architecture (DITA), an XML standard that lets organizations leverage content reuse and ultimately improve document consistency, reduce costs and speed time-to-market.

JustSystems, the largest independent software vendor in Japan and a worldwide leader in XML and information management technologies, today announced that it will highlight the benefits of structured authoring and DITA through participation at IBM Information On Demand (IOD) 2009. IBM IOD is being held October 25–29, 2009 at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in Las Vegas, NV. JustSystems’ participation includes:

  • Joint Speaking Session with IBM: Peter Hrabinsky, director of product marketing and business development for JustSystems, will co-present “Advantages of Structured Authoring — DITA XML Content Authoring with JustSystems’ XMetaL and IBM FileNet Content Manager.” The presentation will highlight XMetaL Author Enterprise — IBM FileNet Edition, the premier authoring tool for creating and storing DITA content. Monday, October 26, 6:30-7:00 p.m., IBM theater

  • Product Demonstrations: XMetaL Author Enterprise — IBM FileNet Edition will be running in the JustSystems Hands-on Lab where users can walk themselves through a self-guided demo. Together, XMetaL and FileNet offer a comprehensive content solution that enables enterprise organizations to harness the value of its information assets and to lower the cost of content creation by making content more readily available for reuse.
