DocTrain East to be held October 29 – November 1, 2008, at the Boston Marriott Burlington in Burlington, MA. JustSystems partners will be leading day-long workshops where participants will receive free trial copies of XMetaL:

• In “Authoring and Publishing with XMetaL and DITA,” Simon Bate, senior technical consultant with Scriptorium Publishing Services, will show the audience how to create DITA content using XMetaL Author Enterprise. Wednesday, October 29 from 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
• In “Success Factors for DITA Adoption with XMetaL: Best Practices and Fundamentals,” Technical Communications Consultants Tim Bombosch and Tom Idleman of Lasselle-Ramsay, Inc. will highlight what it means to migrate to a structured authoring environment, share tips for planning for a successful adoption, and provide foundational skills for authoring with XMetaL. Saturday, November 1 from 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

tekom annual conference 2008 to be held November 5 – 7, 2008, at the Rhein-Main-Hallen in Wiesbaden, Germany. JustSystems will be offering XMetaL Author and XMetaL Reviewer product demonstrations in booth #116, Hall 10.
